Research Interests:

  1. General: Microbial symbiosis, interaction between microbes and animals; Geomicrobiology

  2. and microbial biogeochemistry, microbial transformations (formation/degradation) of

  3. Earth materials (rocks/minerals/organic matter).

  4. Current specific research areas: Chemoautotrophic H2- and S-metabolism in deep-sea vent environments; Glycomics and genomics of deep-sea vent chemoautotrophs; Symbiosis.
